Dr.Haha asks Charlie to go to China in this evening for the
International Psychological Convention in China. Charlie consent with a great
reluctant shown on his face. More importantly, he asks Dr.Haha to bring me on
as a deal to go to the convention. Charlie walks to school earlier compare any
of the school days. It is obvious to know without stalking at him that he does
not have any friendship and seen as a monster of knowledge from the perspective
of students in this school. The rain falls again as if it helps clean up the
mood of humdrum from people with thunder howling its grief beyond the sky as if
it’s close at hand. Charlie does not have a friend in the school yet. I am
watching a television program call “TED” in which brings out sagacious
information about diversity things- Bacteria, Languages, Temple Run, or CSI
Miami. The reason why I am telling this because I am extremely irritated with
nothing I can do to help Charlie. I can see myself in Charlie’s shadow in past
as if I need to force myself to acknowledge everything I lost before.
Nevertheless, today ends without any conversation with anyone including Dr.Haha.
Charlie puts me in a bag as he finishes packing up his luggage
with multiple times of sigh. He does not want to go to the convention where we
have to act like a “creature” from Mars since we are going to be asking a lot
of questions to demonstrate that the experiment groups do not sham their great
victory on evolutionary change of people. I am sitting on the podium as Dr.Haha
is explaining about the entire process and treatments. However, Charlie’s face
is becoming more agitated as if he is going to destroy this convention at every
second. Suddenly, Charlie requires Dr.Haha to give permission on speaking with
his own point of view. He then gives a rejoinder on what Dr.Haha mentions
especially on “treated as a human being”. As Charlie says: “It may sound like
ingratitude, but that is one of the things I hate here-the attitude that I am not treated as a human but more likely an animal. Dr.Haha’s constant references made
me what I am, or that someday there will be others like me who will become
real human beings. How can I make him understand that he did not create
me?" Tension between Charlie and Dr.Haha builds out immediately as if
Charlie was expecting such a thing would happen. I, as an innocent mouse who
participates in the brain operation, am not able to recognize righteous between
both of them. It’s a parallel between the boundaries they stand. Therefore,
none of the things can be consent or agree upon. Who is the person that reaches
out to my righteousness? What happens if that righteousness gives birth to
tragedy? Shall I test to see if such righteousness is worth possessing?
Charlie embraces me with his words: “I swear I will go there! I will go
to the place where we once saw righteousness together!” I receive such a relief
when I heard from him.
